![]() It's better you have a helper with you, because each time you make an adjustment, you need to install/uninstall the hardtop. It's a matter of setting the correct tensions in the latches, and the correct height of the side striker pieces. If the gaps are still too wide, repeat the said procedures again. There was a silver hardtop for sale on ROC for £550 last week which converts to 844 with todays exchange rate. So loosen the tension enough so that when you clamp the side latches down, you don't feel much resistance doing so. The purpose of the side latches is to have a grip on the hardtop, not a firm clamp. To resew it, I had to debond the glass to get access to the stiching and then resew it, then reglue in the glass. If the bump is just resting and on top of the indentation, the bar will then be installed at the correct height. There is a plastic frame sewn into the cloth and the window glues to that. This will lift the side of the hardtop and causes the gaps. Do not push the bar too high as it will put weight of the hardtop on it. Make sure you install the bar where the indentation is resting gently under the bottom bump located at the side of the hardtop.
